Fusion provides a range of network cables and modules specifically designed for marine applications. These products are primarily intended for integration with Garmin marine systems and for building comprehensive onboard audio networks. The cables and modules support seamless communication between compatible chartplotters, stereos, and other devices, employing both Garmin Marine Network and standard Ethernet (RJ45) connections.
Fusion’s marine network offerings consist of two primary categories: adapter cables for bridging different network standards and shielded Ethernet cables for general networking purposes.
These specialized adapter cables enable the connection between a Garmin GPSMAP chartplotter and a compatible Fusion stereo. By linking the proprietary Garmin Marine Network port to an RJ45 port, these cables are essential for utilizing the chartplotter’s display and control functions—such as those provided by the Fusion-Link app—within the audio system.
Fusion also supplies standard shielded Ethernet cables (CAT5 subtype) for marine environments, providing robust networking for onboard audio systems. These cables are used to connect Fusion Apollo stereos such as the MS-RA770 and SRX400 to a network router, or directly to each other, forming a "PartyBus" network aboard the vessel. The shielding ensures increased durability and helps maintain signal integrity in the challenging marine environment.
