How To Apply Toplac Plus
- Application Method: Brush, Roller, Spray
- Number of Coats: 2-3
- Dry Film Thickness per Coat: 1-1.5 mils (2-3 wet mils)
- Coverage: 587 sq. ft/gal.
- Application Temp: 41°F Min. / 95°F Max.
- Thinning: Add 10% 2333N reducing solvent for brushes and 216 Special Thinner for spray
- Cleaner: 333 Brushing Liquid

Note: Avoid applying late in the evening as condensation can cause a loss of gloss during overnight cure. Do not use in temperatures below 41° F
Surface Preparation & Application
- Previously Painted Surface:
- In poor condition remove all previous coatings and prime the substrate, referring to the primer/undercoat technical datasheet for further preparation instructions.
- In good condition wash down with a suitable detergent, rinse with fresh water and allow to dry
- Abrade with 280 - 320 grit paper and remove sanding residue
- Wipe with Brushing LIquid 333 and allow to dry completely.
- All Substrates:
- Prime with a suitable primer or primer/undercoat
Application Methods:
- Sand the undercoat smooth with 120 - 400 grit wet or dry paper
- Remove dust with a dust wipe
- Apply 2-3 coats of Toplac Plus with 8-16 hours depending on ambient temperature (refer to the table above)
- Ambient temperatures should be between 41° F and 95° F
- Do not exceed 10% thinner by volume
