Product Description
When the boating parts are the same material, oil seals are employed. This prevents leakage by allowing the materials to contract and expand during operation. Metal-cased seals are usually less expensive than rubber seals. Dirt and other debris are kept out of the shafts and bearings while oil and grease are allowed escape. An oil seal is two parts: an outer circular metal portion that seals the oil and a flexible inner member that seals the oil and is chemically attached to the metal part.
Replacement components for the majority of today's watercraft engines, including MerCruiser, OMC, Johnson/Evinrude, Volvo, and others, can be found in our inventory.
